This is a pretty simple homemade light bulb. It only lasted like 2 secounds in this video, but iv'e gotten it to last over 15 secounds using the same filament (1-inch piece of mechanical pencil lead/graphite). Ultimately, using a better filament material will greatly increase the life of the bulb to last several minutes or hours. The packet inside of the jar is a c02 absorber which will help create a vacuum inside of the glass jar. (oxygen will burn out the bulb very fast) I used a 7.2volts DC 2000mAh rechargable battery as a power source.
